A one-step powder and foundation that gives skin a smooth matte finish, while controlling shine. A one-step powder and foundation that gives skin a smooth and even all-matte finish with medium-to-full buildable coverage, with a velvety texture that allows skin to breathe. Long-wearing, color-true, non-caking, non-streaking, non.
We put M∙A∙C Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 to the ultimate test of seeing how long it wears and, not surprisingly, the formula lasts for a full 24 hours! This modern foundation combines a matte finish and medium-to-full buildable coverage with broad spectrum SPF 15 protection. Applies, builds and blends easily and evenly while controlling oil and shine with a non-caking, breathable formula. However, in MAC labelling, the undertones are the opposite. For example there is an NC27 or an NW18 in Studio Fix Fluid. These colours don’t have quite as strong an undertone as those that end in 5 or 0. These odd numbers have more of a neutral undertone. So an NC27 is not as yellow as an NC25 but it is a little bit darker.
Are you or your friends looking for a cost effective and personalized makeup look that rocks a special occassion? I would take a page out of my friend’s book.
This is my friend, Mamatha. She recently tied the knot. But when it came to getting her makeup done for her wedding, she decided to have me do it instead of going to a professional MUA. MUAs are quite expensive and not everyone is as good as the cash they demand (observed opinion).Unless you do your research well, I suggest not investing blindlyin a MUA who does not have their work showcased.
If you are good at applying makeup then you can help a friend save on money, especially when wedding expenses are involved, which are usually high. This can be your gift to the bride. A beautiful makeup look for free ?
Mentioned below is our story and my experience while I was putting Mamatha’s wedding look together.
Mamatha is always game to be my canvas when I want to practice my makeup applying skills. We have done many looks together. That is why I agreed to do her makeup. I have applied makeup for her before, though not for such a big event, so my nerves were edgy.
How I got started on Mamatha’s look
I started by asking her questions that helped me put her look together. I asked her details about the outfit she was wearing. I also asked her to share pictures of the outfit. I then asked her about the look she wanted to achieve.
She said she wanted a look that was not too made up, yet had a subtle hint of glamour and classiness to it. Her wedding outfit was a beautiful pink with white stones and gold threadwork. So, I decided to go for a bollywood look and incorporate the colours of her outfit into her eye makeup. She has the most beautiful shade of brown eyes and most warm colours suit her complexion well. So the eye colours I chose had shades of gold, maroon, red and black. This paired with falsies, a slight cat eye and oodles of mascara gave her dramatic eyes that drew attention.
Mamatha has quite clear skin so we did not need too much makeup and she was against slapping on thick layers of foundation.
How I achieved the look Mamatha wanted
I used a thin layer of foundation to cover a few blemishes after priming her skin, followed by a pat of concelor under her eyes and on blemishes. I locked these in with a finishing powder. All these face products were from MAC and Benefit and they are listed below.
After that, I contoured her face with a matte bronzer from the Balm, I then applied blush on her cheeks and highlighter on her cheekbones, bridge of her nose and cupid’s bow. I then lined her lips and coloured them. For blush and highlighting, I used liquid and then powder products to keep the makeup in place for longer.
The whole look worked out to be quite cost effective as my friend only had to invest in her shade of foundation, concealer and powder compact.
In the end, my friend was happy with the final look.
If you know how to apply makeup and think you can use your creativity to save you or your friends a few bucks, try a DIY bridal look. But, I would suggest doing your homework and practcing the look a couple of tmes before the wedding, like I did. This will ensure you are prepared for a beautiful professional looking madeup bride.
